Halloween comes in many forms and ways to celebrate the occasion with many movies and music albums marking the occasion designed to scare the fright out of you. But none have left a mark on society as much as John Carpenter's 'Halloween' movie released in 1978. Halloween was a commercial success and helped develop the slasher movie genre forever.
Now it's time for HSU to join the festivities by paying tribute to John Carpenter, deemed the Master Of Horror, with his music and classic cult movies in a new playlist tribute album that takes a different approach in style. As the music sets the creepy tone, the horror imagination in your mind is tested with the music and sounds In 'The Eyes Of Darkness'.

John Carpenter
John Howard Carpenter (born January 16, 1948) is an American film director, producer, actor, screenwriter, and composer. Although Carpenter has worked with various film genres, he is associated most commonly with horror, action, and science fiction films that hit fandom cult in the '70s and '80s.
Carpenter composed or co-composed most of his films' music. He won a Saturn Award for Best Music for the film Vampires (1998). Carpenter has released four studio albums, titled Lost Themes (2015), Lost Themes II (2016), Anthology: Movie Themes 1974–1998 (2017) and Lost Themes III: Alive After Death (2021)
At the 2019 Cannes Film Festival, the French Directors' Guild presented Carpenter with the Golden Coach Award (Carrosse d'Or). The Directors' Guild described him as "a creative genius of raw, fantastic, and spectacular emotions"
Alan Howarth, born 1948, is an American composer and sound designer who has worked on soundtracks for Hollywood films including the Star Trek and Halloween series, and is known for his collaborations with film director and composer John Carpenter.
Ennio Morricone
Ennio Morricone, (Italian: [ˈɛnnjo morriˈkoːne]; 10 November 1928 – 6 July 2020) was an Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor, and trumpeter who wrote music in a wide range of styles. With more than 400 scores for cinema and television, as well as more than 100 classical works, Morricone is widely considered as one of the most prolific and greatest film composers of all time.
The turning point in Morricone's career took place in 1964, Film director Sergio Leone hired Morricone, and together they created a distinctive score to accompany Leone's different version of the Western, A Fistful of Dollars (1964). Morricone's eclecticism found its way to films in the horror genre., In 1977 Morricone scored John Boorman's Exorcist II: The Heretic and Alberto De Martino's apocalyptic horror film Holocaust 2000, starring Kirk Douglas. In 1982 he composed the score for John Carpenter's science fiction horror movie The Thing.
